About this deal

Color performance is excellent, and in line with the similarly impressive range and accuracy from the Hisense U6H and U8H. There are a few interesting extras, including UEFA TV, alongside stalwarts such as Rakuten and Chili, but to fill those missing gaps you will need to purchase a media streamer and plug it into one of those four HDMI sockets. Along with the updated 144Hz VRR panel, the U7 also offers 144Hz Game Mode Pro, which combines connectivity (HDMI2.

Ultra-precise variable refresh rate (VRR), and auto low latency mode (ALLM) come together at an astounding 144Hz for a smooth gaming experience that’ll remain competitive for years. Where this TV really shines is when used in a normal living room with some ambient lighting and watching everyday content or playing games What are your alternatives?

This innovative technology provides users with detailed, exquisite, and lifelike images to a stunning degree with superior blacks and gradation because to its enormous number of individual dimming zones, which enables users an extraordinary amount of control in terms of brightness, contrast, and colour. It can also help you find content to watch, provide general information (such as the weather forecast), and perform a variety of other tasks. Edges can also look a little false with broadcast material with some obvious ringing seen within certain types of content. It has incredibly loud and crisp audio, stunning picture quality which remains the same from various angels, innovative features and sleek Morden design which sets it apart. There is only one tone map used for mastering metadata differences and anything over 600 nits is clipped completely of any detail.

Using the Ultra Smooth Motion controls adds in frame interpolation and Soap Opera Effect (SOE) and the higher you go, the more artefacts are introduced to moving objects within a scene. Film viewing was also a good experience with SDR content looking colourful and with plenty of dynamic range. Bass is lacking but that is to be expected with a TV speaker system, but the soundstage is wide and dialogue is intelligible at all times. Viewing angles do mean it isn’t really suited to those sitting well off-axis, but when sat head on the image performance is very good and on a par with some much more expensive peers. You can experience immersive, real-world sound by carefully positioning the noises around you and shifting them around. The local dimming is effective for the majority of content, but be aware that quick changes in scene brightness can catch it out and there is a delay in applying the correct degree of image dimming. If you want more of the same but with improved local dimming and more dynamic range, then the Hisense U8K is more expensive but does offer a little more performance and we’ll have a review available as soon as we get one in. Everyone can enjoy a terrific view and vibrant colours from wherever they are thanks to the broad viewing angles of your Hisense TV. We test TVs with a Klein K-80 colorimeter, a Murideo SIX-G signal generator, and Portrait Displays’ Calman software.
