About this deal

I really enjoyed the Little Nipper Double, its name is perfect, it was quite compact for what it was and it certainly nips around. Pushing this pushchair was no problem at all, it was able to turn the tightest corners and even turn around on the spot with very little effort. It folded and unfolded easy and as it’s in one piece I didn't have to worry about losing the adapters or messing around with seats. Age range: Newborn to four years | Maximum load: 15kg in each seat | Product weight: 10.5kg | Dimensions: 63 × 66.5 × 25cm (folded); 94.5 × 66.5 × 102.5cm (unfolded) | Travel system-compatible: No | Orientation: Side by side What we love Cleanliness: we wanted to know what the pram is like to clean. We carried out a cleanliness test to see how well the fabric coped when juice was spilled and how easily mud came off. Gemma ended up with a list of almost 30 products which she whittled down to 13 to put to the test, covering a range of needs, lifestyles, brands and budgets.

Chicco’s Echo Twin Stroller is the double version of the popular Echo and, although basic, there’s a lot to like about it. Weight: The lighter the overall weight of the pram, the easier it is to push, especially if you’re transporting an older child across uneven terrain. Look for a lightweight option with an aluminium frame. Aesthetics: looking at the materials and colours, we considered whether it was stylish design or more of a practical pushchair, whether the materials were high-quality and if it was built to last to the maximum age limit. Yes, overall it’s everything I look for in a double pushchair, it was very easy to get around with it, the basket was adequate for carrying a bit of shopping. I liked the big hoods and that they were separate, so I could give the baby a lot of shade while she napped but the toddler could still have hers less shaded giving her more of a view.In comparison to the previous model, the Nipper Double V5 also comes with pop up dual layer sun visors & magnetic peak-a-boo windows in both hoods, raincover and large detachable shopping basket as standard. There is also a wide range of fresh style-matching accessories that are available to buy separately like carrycots, footmuffs, changing bags and many more. It is a heavy buggy to use. Although, it's lighter than the original version, now weighing in at 12.1kg. Assembly: we noted what was in the box and whether all the basics were included. We looked at the instructions and how easy the pram was to assemble. The one-handed folded mechanism and large storage basket make life on the go even easier. Unfortunately you do have to pay extra for a rain cover and a few standard accessories, such as a carrycot or cocoon, but the Duet V3.2 is suitable for newborns straight from the box.

At a fraction of the price of its competitors, the Chicco Echo Twin Stroller offers exceptional value for parents on a tight budget. The Little Nipper Double a lightweight, compact side-by-side buggy which suits all family needs with 2 little ones in tow. Weighing only 11kg it is one of the lightest double buggies available! With 4 EVA wheels and suspension on both the front and rear the Little Nipper Double really is a dream to push. Complete with all the popular features of the Nipper and suitable to take 2 children of different ages, with the added option of attaching either 1 or 2 carrycots. The Little Nipper Double is the ideal solution for making light work of any journey.” Tested by mum Kim Hardill for the M&B Awards 2017:

3. Best premium running buggy: Thule Urban Glide 2

I'm a childminder and I can't recommend this enough! All of the childminders I work with use these. They are easy to fold down and can be used from birth with or without a carrycot. They have big hoods for sun protection and big seats for bigger toddlers. (My six-year-old has a go sometimes). Easy to push and comfy with a decent-sized shopping basket." While it’s safe to use from birth, we don’t feel the seats recline flat enough to give adequate support for newborns, so we’d recommend this buggy from six months plus. Unfortunately, you can’t attach a carrycot and it’s not travel system-compatible, but we love the fuss-free design that’s ideal for busy, budget-conscious families.
