About this deal

The use of the remote control switch increases the flexibility and ease of use of these alarms by allowing the alarms to be located, silences and tested remotely.

This remote control switch can only be interconnected via hardwire to communicate with compatible Ei Electronics Alarms and accessories. Up to 12 devices can be interconnected. Wall mounted for ease of use – can be fixed with surface mount box supplied, or will fit a standard recessed box (not supplied) The unit is suitable for wall mounting using the surface mount box supplied or a standard recessed box, not supplied, may be used. Silence Switch: Allows the user to silence all interconnected Alarms at once for 10 minutes in case of false alarm. Locate Switch: If the Alarms are sounding, pressing the Locate Switch silences all but the originating Alarm, thus allowing easy identification of the source of the alarm. The wall mounted switch unit can locate the initial source of an alarm, silence any false alarms and test all the alarms in the system. The control unit is mains powered and interlinks via hardwire connection with the majority of Ei Electronics and Aico products, including carbon monoxide alarms. These switches are highly recommended for systems with a mixture of smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide alarms so that occupants can identify the source of the alarm and take the appropriate action depending on the type of emergency. The triggered alarm can be audibly identified - and silences all others - automatically resetting after 10 minutes Compiles with electrical safety requirements: EN61000-6-1:2007 Et EN61000-6-2:2005 (EMC Directive) and EN60065:2001 + A12:2011 (Low voltage directive) Up to 4 x EI1529RC switches may be installed together with a maximum of 20 x 2100, 160RC and 260 Series smoke, heat or carbon monoxide alarms

If you have a fire alarm system comprised of three or more interconnected smoke/heat alarms, it can be useful to keep a remote test and hush switch to hand. The Aico Ei1529RC is designed specifically for use with the Aico Ei160 series of smoke and heat alarms: the Ei161RC ionisation detector, Ei164RC heat detector and the Ei166RC optical detector. Easy to install using a 3 wire connection (Live, Neutral and Interconnect/Control) as standard smoke/heat alarm wiring The Ei1529RC is used to control all the alarms in a system from one place. We highly recommend fitting a control switch if you have smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms on the same system as it’s essential that you can tell which alarm has sounded. From then you can identify which danger is present and the action you should take.
