From the moment the film began, I was captivated by the vibrant and dynamic animation style that sets the Spider-Verse apart.Even before the sequel hit theaters, Spider-Man merch had become all the rage — including a book featuring art from the movie, which was a No. It wasn’t an enormous hit, but it found an audience, and one ready to absorb the production’s love of the character and his superhero history, delivering a portal-opening ride of then-unique animation and interesting characters, only really running into trouble when trying to find a way out of the mess of the story. It is immersive, engaging, all encompassing, bombastic, intimate; it not only rocks the foundations, but blows the roof off too! The colour pallet is myriad, depending on the scene, or the mood within the scene, and the hues shimmer; during the actions set pieces (especially the escape) they are eye wateringly intense, or completely natural, depending on the need of the scene.

It keeps Spider-man, but adds a new and totally delightful young hero, plus a supporting cast of superb companions, and deliciously evil and grotesque villains. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" swings into cinematic brilliance, offering a dazzling and innovative experience that transcends the boundaries of animation. With her enhanced strength, speed, agility, and spider-sense, she is a confident superhero who is able to understand what Miles is going through. In terms of a continuation hook it couldn’t be better, but in terms of a story closure it is frustrating as all hell.
