About this deal

The corners are also rounded, which gives the Oberon 3 a softer and more comfortable visual feel. Overall, the design makes the Oberon 3 look like a piece of Scandinavian furniture, simple yet high quality. Sound Performance

The very rigid construction of the Oberon 3 cabinet is due to solid bracings across the inside of the cabinet for reinforcement. This improves the stiffness and practically eliminates resonance within the cabinet. The Oberon 3 is an excellent all-rounder which performs way above its price point. The fact that my wife now says the resident speakers sound somewhat “boring” shows that the Dali Oberon 3 deserve to be in your shortlist if you’re in the market for an engaging stand-mount speaker that is as musical as it is easy to use.So I don't care about a speakers ability to image - I can hear the horrified shrieks of lots of people as I'm typing this The oversized 29 mm ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeter was specifically developed for the Oberon series, combining well-proven technologies from our existing Dali speakers with new features. The large size of the membrane lets the tweeter generate higher sound pressure with less excursion, keeping the voice-coil motion to a controlled minimum. The tweeter front plate near the dome has been designed with similar geometry to the Opticon and Rubicon tweeters to create the optimal working conditions for the soft dome. This results in extended frequency response, wide dispersion and low colouration. Optimised Cabinet

The bass ports are placed on the rear of the OBERON 3, optimising room integration by utilising the wall for improved bass performance. The tweeter front plate near the dome has been designed with similar geometry as the OPTICON and RUBICON tweeters to create the optimal working conditions for the soft dome. The aim is to combine an extended frequency response with wide dispersion and low colouration. CABINET This is an attractive compact loudspeaker with a 130mm bass/midrange driver, a 29mm tweeter dome and a rear port. The speaker is, therefore, ideal for a small to medium sized room, a teenager’s room, a dining area, guest room, better garden house or weekend home. The Oberon series is intended to inherit and improve upon the „Zensor“ series. For the price-conscious beginner, there is already the even more affordable „Spektor“ series. So, to be accurate, after seven extremely successful years, “Zensor” has actually been replaced twice. El gran tamaño de la membrana permite al tweeter generar una presión de sonido mayor con menos movimiento, manteniendo el movimiento de la bonia de voz en un mínimo preciso. This big, beefy sound doesn’t mean the Oberon 3s are incapable of subtlety. A blast of Hans Zimmer’s greatest hits not only brings home the scale and width of the soundstage, especially with the speakers aimed straight, but also highlights good stereo imaging, showing skill at placing instruments in the room.

The second is that you don't have an existing reference point to compare speaker sounds against other than the sound from your TV. Ideally when auditioning speakers I would take my existing speakers to compare against. Audio memory is very short and can't be relied on. And cables, I've read all this about cables doing nothing which may be true for loudspeakers but I'm not sure. So, I guess that as expected I am stepping up from what I originally wanted to get, let's see where this takes me Dali chose a 7" driver, as its membrane has a 15% larger dimension than the common 6½ market standard. The larger cone area allows a lower voice coil excursion at the same sound pressure level compared to a 6½ woofer. It also allows a higher maximum sound pressure level, which leads to an effortless reproduction of the dynamics in the music. El nuevo tweeter de 29mm ultra ligero utilizado en OBERON 3 es fabricado por DALI y ha sido desarrollado específicamente para la serie OBERON - combinando bien las tecnologías probadas en nuestras series DALI con nuevas características.

Oberon 3 features Post type posts and Oberon 1 has a Post type posts. None of these speakers feature bi-amping/bi-wiring. Then an amp to go with said speakers. Richer sound seem to push the arcam 10 and 20 at 700 and 1000 respectively. My friend who is into audio has listened to the arcams and wasn't impressed though and he does have a simalar ear. I know it's hard without knowing exactly which speaker I'm getting but any and all suggestions are welcome. The main focus of this blog post is the Oberon 3, the largest bookshelf speaker in the Oberon series. It is a suitable choice for those who require good bass performance but have limited space in their home. The Tweeter DALI Oberon 3 is clearly the larger of the two speakers. Its body is 37mm wider, 75mm taller and 82mm deeper than DALI Oberon 1.
