Dream Think Speak’s Brighton Festival show entitled ‘Before I Sleep’ involved several of the BM Models in the production.
Dream Think Speak Productions
May 20th, 2010Time to Dream
May 14th, 2010Here a BM Models, we were privileged to receive guest tickets to the preview night of Before I Sleep, a production by the esteemed theater company Dream-Think-Speak being performed as part of this year’s Brighton Festival. BM Models Ngozi and Alannah accompanied Yours Truly to what I can only describe as one of the most innovative, surprising and original pieces of theater/performance art I have ever had the pleasure to experience. The show takes place over all three floors of the old Co-op buil Seriously guys this production is so excellently put together with an impeccable level of attention to detail – there’s even something in there for all you fashion lovers (but that’s all I’m saying!).
Now with rave reviews raining down on this company, it was no surprise that the show had sold out before its opening night (once again, thanks Jenny for the tickets!), but today it leaked to us that they have EXTENDED their run and will now be performing until the 13th June. Tickets will be on sale soon via the Dream-Think-Speak website!
Take our advice and go! You won’t regret it!

Scam model agencies
May 12th, 2010There is an increasing number of complaints we have been receiving about some dishonest and unethical model agencies that operate throughout the country. Their business plan is based on making money out of the models rather than providing work to the models. They would take anyone onboard as long as the ‘victim’ can afford paying for photo-shoots, online portfolios, make-overs, catwalk classes and many more. However, regardless of the investment there doesn’t seem to be any work on the horizon provided by the srm model agency, just promises that the current portfolio isn’t commercial enough. If you ever come across any a scummy model agency please report them!
Beauty Blog by Lucy Brown, Round 2
May 6th, 2010Hello all,
I hope everyone is staying healthy and sexy in the glorious sunshine…… Its Lucy Brown here, bringing you another beauty and skincare tip. This week’s skincare product is a MUST HAVE for all those with normal to oily skin types.
Trying to control the oiliness of your skin without drying it out is a hard task. Over the years I’ve tried and tested countless products, in my opinion one of the market leaders, a product that I will always have in my make-up kit is……
Khiel’s Sodium PCA Oil Free Moisturiser:
This fabulous product is oil-free, very lightweight, doesn’t clog the pores but best of all this ethical product is not tested on animals.
It provides just enough hydration and when used with Estee – Lauder, Advanced Night Repair Serum (see my first blog) leaves your skin flawless, non greasy and protected from breakouts.
I am dedicated fan of Khiels products, so stay tuned for more recommendations.
Much love to you all,
Lucy B
Our models’ favourite relaxing activities
May 2nd, 2010Being a model unlike to what most people think is a tough job. It’s not just about walking up and down the catwalk for a few minutes but a lot more than is not quite obvious. Castings can be all around London and within one day a model may have to spend hours in public transport trying to attend as many castings as possible. And when a job has been booked a few fittings will take place that again can be anywhere, from central London to Brighton.

During fashion shows the intensity is even higher as apart from the stress there is a lot of pressure as everything has to be delivered perfectly. Some designers are so demanding and have so high expectations which causes extra pressure. Also, fashion shows can take up to ten hours as there is a lot of preparation, time spent for the make-up, the styling, trying again and again the different garments and so much more.
What our models find extremely relaxing after a hard day at work is a enjoying a spa day. A day of indulgence and pampering is so revitalising that makes our models being full of energy again for next week. With so many various spa treatments available, from facial therapies to a health massage there is no wonder why a spa days are so popular among our models.
