A pirate lair space costs nothing; if the treasure token is still there, it is removed from the game and the player takes a treasure card, putting it next to his holds. Players can play cards from their hands to take advantage of character abilities at the opportune moment to snatch the loots from their opponents. I think Jamaica is a great transitional game for kids; it walks the line between children’s games that may not hold the attention of some more experienced players and something that’s a bit more challenging and encourages younger players to engage their thinking muscles.

Essentially a pirate-themed UNO, Piña Pirata is a fast-paced fun card game with a little more adventure. Adventure tiles are fun because they change up the game without being too confusing. It’s the perfect game for kids. What Could Be Better: On top of that bit of ingenious dice-rolling mechanics, the components are actually quite impressive too. Each player has a modular ship. As players upgrade their ships, they’ll be able to add cargo holds, cannons, and extra sails. It’s a very cool idea and looks pretty impressive when fully kitted out. What We Liked:Rattle, Battle, Grab the Loot is a nifty little dice-based game with impressive components. Definitely underrated! The game feels very light-hearted but as the game progresses, the intensity ramps up.

Battles are the same way. If the ghost ship wins, the captain decides what booty gets thrown in the sea. The ghost ship cannot lose the “Lady Beth” treasure card. Rulebook And Rule Change It’s a great little game to play with kids, and coming from IELLO, you know the artwork is top-notch! What We Liked: All players take a pirate ship, action cards and player board. The beautifully drawn cards depict a pirate scene when placed together. The icons are clear and simple, showing what they represent. The ships are nicely designed.Each player selects one action card and places it face down on the table. Discard the other cards. Revealing all cards at the same time. The captain takes their daytime and night time actions before moving to the next player.
